This fall, Wine, Women & Shopping will provide nearly 400 women
with a unique opportunity to celebrate sisterhood…and help
support My Sister’s Place in the process. And we’re asking
for your support.
WWS will be held Thursday, November 20,
2008 at the
Hellenic Centre, Southdale Road, London. This spectacular
event will include a fabulous Greek dinner, wine sampling, a
prestigious speaker, and of course, extraordinary shopping
with one of a kind vendors selling distinct wares. Proceeds from this
fundraiser will go to support My Sisters’ Place.
Last
year, our event was a sell out more than one month in
advance. Nearly 400 women enjoyed a fabulous evening
while celebrating sisterhood.
As
you may be aware, My Sisters’ Place is a transitional support
centre for women who are homeless or at risk of
homelessness…and is in desperate need of financial support.
The women who use this facility can relax, socialize, have a
hot meal, participate in programs, access resources, connect
with each other, and simply, feel safe.
Many community businesses are working to keep this haven open
and it continues to receive vast media attention. If you
would like to help celebrate sisterhood by sponsoring Wine,
Women & Shopping with a cash donation, contributing a door
prize, sponsoring a table centrepiece, please download our

Cash Donations
Help us to create a memorable event so we can donate more to
My Sisters' Place. Your donation will help offset
expenses, such as printing, advertising, angel tokens, and
other related fees. All sponsors will be listed on this Web
site and in our program available at the event.
Door Prizes
All door prizes will have a minimum value of $50.00.
Sponsors will be mentioned at the podium with a brief
business description.
Table
Centrepieces
Each table will be set with a beautiful centrepiece donated
at cost from Jim Anderson Flowers with a bottle of wine from
Carolinian Winery. All proceeds will go to My
Sisters' Place. Each centrepiece will include your
company name. Centrepieces will be taken home by selected guests. All
sponsors will be listed in our program available at the
event.
Bag Sampling
This year we've added a new component for any business
interested in getting involved but does not qualify as a
vendor. If you'd like to put "a little something" into
our goodie bag, let us know. The cost is only $75.00
and every attendee gets one. We need 425 pieces.
Take the Challenge...
Once
again, Bob Dugdale, owner of Jim Anderson Flowers
is challenging individuals and businesses to match his
donation of $250.00 to our worthy cause. You can
take up the challenge in one of two ways. By making
your cheque out to Wine, Women & Shopping c/o or Nancy Kirwin
to help us create a fabulous event in support of My Sisters'
Place. Or, if you require a tax receipt, make your
cheque payable to My Sisters' Place. Either way, please
